A small hole near the bottom of the window, usually written off as condensation drainage.

What is actually happening

Cabin windows are three acrylic panes. The outer pane is structural; the middle pane is a spare; the inner scratch pane just protects them from passengers. The bleed hole in the middle pane equalises pressure between the cabin and the gap, which forces the outer pane to carry the full pressure differential on its own. If the outer pane ever fails, the middle pane is undamaged and immediately takes over. The hole also keeps the gap dry, which is why it gets mistaken for a drain.

Why it stays hidden

Because it is a failure-ordering device, and failure ordering is invisible while nothing fails. Whoever designed it decided, years before your flight, exactly which pane was expendable.
