The reason a screenshot of a gain recruits more than data
A screenshot of a profit is vivid, personal and instantly persuasive, while aggregate data is abstract, so the single image recruits where the spreadsheet cannot.

Why does a profit screenshot recruit more effectively than aggregate data?
Correct answer: A
Option B invents verification. Option C denies the averaging effect. Option A identifies vividness asymmetry: a concrete, curated example overriding the abstract but more representative aggregate.
An influencer posted a screenshot showing a ten-thousand-dollar gain on a trade. It went viral and drove thousands of new buyers into the token. The same performance data — average returns, risk-adjusted figures, drawdown history — had been published for months and moved no one. The screenshot worked because it was concrete, personal, and emotionally activating: a real person, a real number, a visible profit. Data informs; a screenshot recruits, and the recruiting power of a vivid image overwhelms the informing power of a spreadsheet.
What everyone sees
A viewer sees the screenshot and reads proof: this person made this much money, so the opportunity is real. The image is vivid and immediate. The viewer treats a single instance as representative of the opportunity, not registering that one screenshot is a curated best case, not an average outcome, and that the thousands who lost have no reason to post their own.
What is actually happening
Research on the availability heuristic and vivid evidence shows that a single vivid example outweighs base-rate data in people’s judgements because it is easier to process and emotionally engaging. A screenshot of a gain is maximally vivid — personal, concrete, quantified — while aggregate statistics are abstract. The asymmetry in persuasion is systematic: people overweight the salient example and underweight the dry average, producing decisions anchored on the exceptional rather than the typical.
Why it stays hidden
The hidden mechanism is vividness asymmetry between a single case and aggregate data. The screenshot is a curated best outcome, shared precisely because it is impressive, while losses go unposted. The viewer’s mind weights the vivid image over the base rate it should consult, and the result is a recruiting tool that looks like evidence. The screenshot is true and maximally unrepresentative, and its truth makes its unrepresentativeness invisible.
A screenshot of a win is vivid, true and unrepresentative. It recruits because a real profit picture outweighs a boring average.

The reason a study that replicates is worth two that do not
A single study is a claim. A replication is a test of that claim. Two unreplicated studies are two untested claims, not twice the evidence.

The reason a rhetorical question is an assertion
The question mark at the end of the sentence is decorative. The sentence does not ask; it states. The interrogative form is there to make disagreement feel impolite.
AdeptThe hidden part #0577Form invites agreement, not answer. The rhetorical question is an assertion that has borrowed the immunity of an inquiry.
